#OurGirlsAreOnTheirWayBackHome

Hello friends! Its been a long long while! Phew! I can't tell you how much I have missed blogging!Since my kids came back home for vacation, it had been 'wonderful'! So many outings, visits, fights, noise(joyful ones) and a host of other antics that I can't begin to explain here.Above all, it was fun! I was so glad to have them back home. The only down side is that it reduced to the barest minimum the time I spent on the social media – especially blogging! But I thank God, am back! Why? Cos they are back in school! *laughing excitedly* So, let's do some catching up. I won't want to confess that the prevailing situation in our country, right now is that of confusion and a colossal mess! I refuse to make this my daily confession. I once heard somewhere that, "Your CONFESSION in the time of CONFUSSION is the CONCLUSION of your CONDITION! And so, though I am so angry and grieved in my spirit, I will make sure I confess the WORD of GOD. Can you promise me you will too? Pleeease, do!Can you just imagine? Scores of people bombed to extinction in a Motor Park in Abuja, Nigeria on a Monday morning? Their crime? They are Nigerians and are going about their normal hustle/bustle entail in making a living! There are yet scores of others with various critical injuries sustained as a result of the bomb blast, still hospitalised! Their faith hanging in the balance as politicians pay lip service to seeing to their treatment and recuperation.Barely 24hrs after this dastardly act to humanity, on the 14th of April, the news that 129/200/234 etc girls have been abducted from a Government Girls' Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State was making the rounds on our airwaves! This was also in the wake of an earlier abduction of 20/25 girls by the same Boko Haram sect months ago.Till date, NO NEWS! According to report from most affected parents, nobody is telling them NOTHING! The most frustrating part is that no body knows the exact number of girls abducted. There have been varying figures being dished out here and there! But excuse me? Does the exact number really matter? (Well, except for Logistics reason). Even, if its just one single girl, she has a right to life! What bothers me is the fact that these girls are in the custody of vicious murderers who have no qualms shedding innocent blood by slaughtering them. Some said they are being used as sex slaves, cook and even human shield (hostages) in their camps. The girls' abduction is strongly believed as the sect's way of warding off any bombardment by Nigerian Armed Forces. The troops, i learnt are taking maximum caution in handling the situation to ensure little or no collateral damage. We pray the Rescue Mission will be a success IJN! Sambasi Forest. The Stronghold of the Boko Haram Islamist Sect. The forest borders the neighbouring countries of Cameroon and Chad. That's where we learnt the girls are being held. Some even said the girls have been taken across the borders into these countries to be sold as wives to Islamist militant. How true this information is, nobody knows! Parents had made valiant efforts to come to their daughters' rescue by conducting a search of the vicinity but to no avail. Several appeals are being made to the Federal Government and the States' Government via the social media to rescue these girls.I will like to believe efforts are being made albeit covertly by the Military to rescue them. I am using this media to lend my voice to the appeal and also to encourage us to keep praying for the safe return of our girls! Today in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, a procession for #BringBackOurGirls will be kicking off at 3pm from the Unity Foundation. Dress Code is RED.Prayers have also been and are still being offered on behalf of these girls and their family. I believe strongly that #OurGirlsAreOnTheirWay.I want us to REFUSE TO BE MOVED by contrary reports from the media and just hold on to God – The Governor of all Nations. Let our confession be in accord with our prayers because #OurGirlsAreOnTheirWay! How will God do it? I don't know! But I KNOW HE IS ABLE TO DO ALL THINGS! #OurGirlsAreOnTheirWay!
